TRW workers reject contract, strike to continue
Auburn (WSYR-TV) – Workers at the TRW auto parts plant are going to stay on the picket line.
Members of the ICWU/UFCW Local 192 C rejected the company’s most recent contract offer by a convincing margin, 128-11.
According to workers at the site, management tweaked the initial contract, but there were no significant changes.
The strike began at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday.
The Auburn plant currently employs 150 union workers and manufactures keyless entry systems and tire pressure systems for the auto industry.
