Kolbee Kearns sentenced for sexual relationship with student 9-17-09
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - It will be four months in jail and 10 years probation for a former Solvay High School teacher.  Kolbee Kearns was sentenced in Onondaga County Court Thursday morning.

In July, Kearns admitted that he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl.  Kearns had to resign from his job and turn in his teaching license.

The victim, who is now 17, told the judge that she and Kearns were in love and are planning a future together.  But the judge has issued an order of protection, requiring Kearns to stay away from the victim.
