Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- A 17-year-old Syracuse boy has been charged in connection with a double shooting that left one teen injured and another critically injured earlier this week.

Syracuse Police have charged 16-year-old Jaquell Greer in connection with the shooting 16-year-old Sherron Jones and 16-year-old Quavon Cosby.

Both teens were rushed to Upstate University Hospital where Jones is currently listed in critical condition, according to police. Cosby was shot in the arm. He was treated and released.

The shooting happened Monday in the 400 block of Rich Street just before 5 p.m.

Greer has been charged with assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

Police say it’s unclear what motivated the shooting. An investigation continues.
