Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - An Onondaga County Family Court has found a 16-year-old boy guilty of manslaughter in the death of 51-year-old Michael Daniels.
The beating occurred outside the Los Amigos Market in May and is believed to be the result of something called the "knockout game."
The teen is facing probation or 18 months in a detention facility.
The sentence could be extended annually until he's 18 years old, or the age of 21, with his consent.
A judge will make the decision on Wednesday, August 21.
Defense attorney James Meggesto told NewsChannel 9 that he is extremely disappointed by the verdict today.
A 13-year-old boy also arrested in connection to Daniels' death pleaded guilty to assault.
