Three injured in car crash on Route 20 in Lafayette
Lafayette (WSYR-TV) -- Sheriff's deputies tell NewsChannel 9 that three people were sent to the hospital after a crash on Route 20 in Lafayette.
It happened around 11:07 Sunday morning.
Authorities say 68-year-old James E. Johnson of Syracuse was driving west on Route 20 and tried to turn left on Ortloff Road, when he hit a car traveling eastbound.
The driver of that car, 50-year-old Rhonda Mahalick and her passenger 15-year-old Nicholas Mahalick were taken to Upstate University Hospital for minor injuries.
Johnson was also taken to the hospital for chest injuries.
The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of the collision.
