Tompkins County to debate SAFE Act
Ithaca (WSYR-TV) - Tompkins County is considering taking action against the state's new gun law.
The Tompkins County legislature has scheduled a special meeting for Thursday, March 28 to debate a resolution that would call for the repeal of the SAFE act.
At a recent public hearing, more than 200 showed up, with two-thirds speaking out against the new gun law.
If the resolution passes, Tompkins County would join most upstate counties in opposing the SAFE Act.
