Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Drivers who use Route 81 into Downtown Syracuse from DeWitt and other eastern suburbs will want to find an alternate route into the city.
Beginning at 9am, Route 690 westbound will be reduced to one lane, weather permitting between Route 481 and Teall Avenue for repaving operations.
Traffic will be down to one lane between 9am and 7:30pm through Saturday.
In addition, the Department of Transportation says from Thursday, September 10 through Thursday, December 10, a number of Route 690 interchanges east of Syracuse could be closed between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm daily.
The DOT says depending on contractor operations and the weather, work may be going on at any of the following ramps: Teall Avenue, Midler Avenue, Thompson Road, Bridge Street and Route 481
