Traffic Alerts: Thruway bridge to close, 1-690 WB from Teall Ave. to N. State St. to close

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- The bridge from the Thruway to I-690 West (exit 39) will be closed for a month beginning Wednesday for repairs.

During the closure, motorists will not be able to get I-690 west from exit 39 and vice versa. Detours will be in place to help you navigate around the construction.

This work comes just two days before more work on I-690 in the city. The westbound lanes of the highway will be closed on Friday from Teall Avenue to North State Street. That closure is expected to be in place through at least noon on Monday.
