Travel advisory issued in Cortland County

CORTLAND COUNTY, NY (WSYR-TV) - The Cortland County Sheriff's Department has issued a travel advisory because of slippery road conditions.

Blowing and drifting snow are making for poor driving conditions and they're asking drivers to use extreme caution if they have to head out on the roads

The sheriff's office reports that there have been numerous accidents and they're expecting road conditions to get even worse overnight with high winds causing white out conditions.

The travel advisory is expected to expire Sunday around 8:00 a.m.

Emergency crews in other counties throughout Central New York are reporting numerous accidents due to bad road conditions.
