Granby (WSYR-TV) -- A trespassing complaint led to a pursuit and drug arrest in the town of Granby Friday night.
The incident occurred at 5 Donna Drive at around 8 p.m. The complainant told police that he observed a woman sitting in a black jeep in his driveway. Upon arrival, a state trooper observed the woman walking around the side of the complainant’s yard.
The trooper asked the woman to stay near the jeep while he spoke with the complainant, however, according to State Police the woman got into the jeep and drove off.
A pursuit ensued and the woman was eventually stopped on State Route 3, near County Route 8 where she was taken into custody.
52-year-old Dawn C. North has been charged with DWAI, fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal mischief and harassment, along with other vehicle and traffic violations.
North is being held on $2,500 cash bail at the Oswego County Jail. She is due back in court on September10.
