Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Tuna titan Bumble Bee has expanded a recall covering two of its popular varieties – five-ounce cans of chunk white albacore and chunk light tuna. The company is now recalling cans distributed in March, along with cans distributed in February.
The recall applies only to specifically coded cans. According to the company, the seams or seals on the containers may be loose and could lead to contamination of the tuna.
The company says it has not received complaints of any illness associated with the products.
