UPDATE: Tire blows out, causes fire truck to go off the road in Hastings

HASTINGS, NY (WSYR-TV) – Two people were taken to the hospital after a Town of Mexico fire truck went off the road Saturday night.

The truck was returning from a parade when a front tire blew, causing the driver to lose control and hit a chain-linked fence along Route 11 in the Town of Hastings near Hogs Back Road.

The injuries are believed to be minor.

State Police are investigating.
