Utica community comes together after Labor Day storm causes damage
Utica (WSYR-TV) – A Utica community has pulled together to help one another after a storm ripped through the area on Labor Day.
The storm toppled trees and caused extensive damages in areas such as the corner of Watkins and Main Street in Whitesboro.
“A lot of friends showed up and then the village showed up and they've been picking up all the debris we drag out to the road. The small expenses aren't going to reach our deductable, so it's a hit,” explained Tom Creaser of Whitesboro. "It's good to see everybody too come on out and help."
Though it may be a setback for those affected by the storms, some say they are happy that no one was hurt.
