Saint Marianne Cope will be receiving another honor soon.
The City of Utica announced on Tuesday that it will be honoring the Central New York saint by naming a section of a street after her.
A section of Varick Street will become Saint Marianne Way on August 9.
The date marks the anniversary of her death in 1918.
The following day, Saint Joseph and Saint Patrick Church - the home parish of Saint Marianne Cope - will hold a festival to celebrate.
