Victim flown to Upstate University Hospital after Watertown stabbing
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A Watertown man is under arrest after a Wednesday afternoon stabbing.
The victim – 45-year-old Michael Campaney – had to be flown to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, but police say he is in stable condition.
25-year-old Frank Cooley Jr. was arrested and charged with second degree assault, a felony.
Police say the incident began with an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation at the intersection of Franklin Street and Flower Avenue East in Watertown.
Police said the two men know each other, but declined to describe the nature of their relationship.
Cooley was scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday morning.
