Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office has identified two people who were injured in an accident on County Route 1 the town of New Haven on Monday.

They say Patrick Pichon, 44, of Tonawanda was driving a Gypsum Express tractor trailer west on County Route 1 when the vehicle jack-knifed on a curve, colliding with an eastbound pickup truck driven by 32-year-old John Skilling of Parish.

Both men were taken via ambulance to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.

Pichon is listed in good condition at the hospital, while Skilling is listed in fair condition.

The Sheriff’s Office says speeding and slick road conditions contributed to the accident.

The accident occurred mid-afternoon.

No helicopter was called to the scene because of inclement weather.
