Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Even by Syracuse Police standards, it was an unusually busy overnight. A total of nine people are recovering from stab wounds today, after five separate incidents. Here's the breakdown:
1:55 am: Four teens suffer stab wounds in an altercation on East Belden Avenue. 15-year old Bryan Matos suffered the worst of the wounds, a stabbing to his kidney. 16-year old Austin McIntosh is stabbed in the back and suffers a punctured lung, 18-year old Chaz Dickerson is stabbed in the upper back and ankle, and 17-year old David Herdon is stabbed in the forearm. Police say none are cooperating in the investigation.
2:00 am: 29-year old Terrill Jones is stabbed in the lower back, in the 1200 block of West Onondaga Street. He tells police he believes his ex-girlfriend is to blame. Police say he's refusing to offer other information.
2:20 am: Michael Gavenva walks into Crouse Hospital suffering from a stab found to his rib cage. He tells police it happened at a party at 711 Maryland Avenue.
3:20 am: Two people are stabbed during a fight at 939 Highland Street. 19-year old Ricky Woods suffers stab wounds to his left calf and right arm, while 24-year old Kristen Wahden suffers stab wounds to the shoulder.
8:30 am: Police say a woman stabs a man, after he hit her with a frying pan.
Syracuse Police say all of the victims are expected to be okay. Right now they're sorting out the charges.
