DANSVILLE, N.Y. (AP) - State officials have suspended a Western New York day care provider's license after authorities say she left children alone while she went to a fast-food restaurant.

The state Office of Children and Family Services says Shelly Sick's day care license was suspended after state inspectors say they found unsupervised children in her home last Friday in Dansville.

Police tell local media outlets that they were tipped off to the situation and found children unattended when they arrived at Sick's home, where she has operated a licensed day care business for 13 years.

Sick is charged with seven counts of endangering the welfare of a child and misleading authorities about the number of children in her care.

She pleaded not guilty Wednesday afternoon and was released on bail.
