Watertown (WSYR-TV) -- As if once wasn’t enough, another shocking video has surfaced on
YouTube of a student shouting profanities at his school bus driver in Watertown.
The video, which was posted on Thursday, goes on for about 10 minutes. The student goes to Wiley Intermediate School, which is for fifth and sixth graders.
In the video the student can be heard saying things like: "Shut the f...k up. Sit there and drive the f..king bus,” among other vulgarities.
The driver, who the student refers to as Bill, never responds.
According to WWNY-7 News in Watertown, Watertown City School District Superintendent Terry Fralick said the incident happened about four weeks ago.
"I was appalled by the vulgarity...Of course, I'm very concerned about the danger that it presented to all the occupants of the bus,” said Fralick.
Fralick also commended the bus driver for keeping his composure during the incident.
"How he was able to maintain his composure and continue to drive the bus safely is an amazing example of professionalism and he deserves to be commended,” Fralick said.
The bus driver, who has not been named, turned the child in, but because of confidentiality rules, the school wouldn’t say how he was punished. Fralick says the students didn’t act alone. Apparently he was encouraged by other students who were also on the bus.
At least one parent in the district told reporters that she will not allow her child to ride the bus anymore.
