Syracuse (WSYR-TV/WROC-TV) – Popular Upstate New York-based grocery chain Wegmans is cutting healthcare benefits for some of its part-time employees.
A mainstay among Forbes “Top 100 Companies to Work for,” Wegmans has offered health insurance to employees logging more than 20 hours per week, but they are changing their eligibility requirements, according to WROC-TV in Rochester.
Now, the company will require employees to work at least 30 hours per week to qualify.
The company said the shift will not affect its current part-time employees until 2015.
