Syracuse (WSYR-TV/CNN) – Consumer Reports has released rankings of the best and worst supermarkets across the country and a local favorite chain tops the list.
More than 24,000 subscribers to the magazine weighed in and rated Wegmans No. 1. The Rochester-based chain with a substantial presence in Central New York was followed by Trader Joe’s, Publix, and Fareway as the top among 52 major grocery stores.
The magazine reported that customers were frustrated by Walmart Supercenter, Pathmark, and Pick ‘n Save.
