Oswego (WSYR-TV) – A West Monroe man was arrested after Oswego County Sheriff’s Deputies say he stole auto parts from a Central City Auto Parts location and then fled into a wooded area.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 31-year-old Justin Crowe, 1175 County Route 11, used a Sawzall to remove a catalytic converter from a vehicle at the auto parts facility in the town of West Monroe.
They say Crowe fled the facility and then refused to heed a Sheriff’s Deputy who told him to stop.
State Police caught the man leaving the wooded area near Breckheimer Road.
Crowe was charged with criminal trespass in the third degree, a felony, along with possession of burglars' tools, petit larceny, and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors.
He was arraigned in Town of Parish Court and taken to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
He is scheduled to appear in court on July 23.
