Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - An 18-year-old woman is dead after a crash involving a Centro bus in Syracuse.

Syracuse Police say the crash happened around 12:43 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators say a Centro bus was driving northbound on Comstock Avenue when a GMC Denali traveling west on Acorn Path came into the path of the bus.

The driver of the Denali was 18-year old Anna Pullano of Syracuse.  She was a senior at Westhill High School.

She was transported to Upstate Hospital.  She later died there as a result of her injuries.

She was the only one in the car at the time of the crash.

The cause is still under investigation.

In a statement Centro said, "“We are deeply saddened and send our condolences to the family of the victim of this morning’s accident. The Syracuse Police Department is currently conducting the investigation into its cause. Following Federal and State regulations, Centro administered post accident testing which showed no presence of alcohol in the bus driver’s system.”

Police say there were passengers on the bus, but no one was hurt.
