Westmoreland (WSYR-TV) – A Westmoreland man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after he became pinned underneath an ATV that had rolled over.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, Adrian Spence of Eureka Road was driving a 1990 Polaris ATV around 9 p.m. along a roadway not far from his home when he lost control.

The vehicle rolled over, pinning the 22-year-old man underneath it.

Sheriff’s Deputies say witnesses told them the man was riding the ATV without a helmet.

Spence was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident.
