Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - If someone in your family has a sore throat, it could be strep, according to local health specialists.
Syracuse: Staff at Brighton Hill Pediatrics say they have a lot of strep throat and there’s a stomach bug going around, along with a cough that lingers for approximately a week.
Camillus: According to Dr. Rovall, strep throat has increased in the last week, as well as upper respiratory illness.
Pulaski: Strep throat is being reported among patients in Pulaski. Dr. Carguello is also seeing bronchitis and asthma flareups.
Fulton: Physicians in Fulton are seeing strep, but mostly they report upper respiratory infections.
Liverpool: Dr. Dracker checks in with lots of colds and ear infections in Liverpool, along with some croup and strep throat cases.
Auburn: Upper respiratory illness, bronchitis, and cases of sore throat are all being reported in Auburn. The sore throat cases are viral, not strep, and people are still suffering through allergies.
