Clay (WSYR-TV) -- Renovations have been underway since mid-March on a new Salvation Army family store and donation center.

The organization chose the old Burdick building because of its visibility and access. Donations are already being accepted at this location through a manned collection site from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday.

Construction should be complete by the end of July and the Salvation Army hopes to have the shelves stocked and the doors open at the end of August or by the beginning of September.
