Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – NewsChannel 9 has received numerous phone calls and e-mails from people concerned about a low flying large aircraft in the area of the city of Syracuse.

Syracuse’s Hancock Airport says the aircraft is a KC-10, a military aircraft here from McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey.

The aircraft has been practicing takeoffs and landings

Why is it here? Airport officials say Hancock International Airport has one of the longest runways in the Northeast and it's good for practicing takeoffs and landings.
