Wikileaks soldier’s sentence reduced
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The former Fort Drum soldier convicted of leaking classified documents is now facing a lowered prison sentence.
A judge granted the request from Bradley Manning's lawyer to consolidate sentences for some of his charges.
Manning now faces a maximum of 90 years in prison instead of 136.
Just last week he was found guilty of leaking more than 750,000 pages of documents to the website Wikileaks.
Manning was acquitted of the most serious charge, aiding the enemy, which carried a maximum life sentence.
