Woman charged with DWI after driving wrong way on I-90
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - State police say a 20-year-old woman was drunk when she was stopped by troopers while driving the wrong way on an interstate highway in Buffalo.
Police say state police Thruway patrols encountered the wrong-way vehicle driving directly toward them on Interstate 190 in the city of Buffalo shortly after 3 a.m. Monday.
Troopers say they were able to safely stop the driver, a 20-year-old woman from Buffalo. Police say she had a blood-alcohol content of .15 percent, nearly twice the legal limit.
The charges against her include driving while intoxicated, reckless endangerment and driving the wrong way.
