Woman injured in Canastota Meth Lab Explosion

Canastota (WSYR-TV) - A methamphetamine lab explosion is reported as the cause of a house fire in Canastota Saturday afternoon.

According to police, Angel Salisbury, 41, called 911 to for help just before 12:30 p.m.  Salisbury told detectives she was making the meth with another person when it exploded. 

Two people inside the home at 200 Kay Circle in Canastota were able to put out the fire before crews arrived, but Salisbury was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.  The second person ran from the scene.

Police collected evidence of an active meth lab at the time of the fire.  The New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team assisted at the scene.

Angel Salisbury was taken into custody by Canastota Police, accused of Manufacturing Methamphetamine.
