Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A woman
who died during a fire on Syracuse’s West Side on Sunday has been identified.
Syracuse fire investigators say the woman who died is 70-year-old Santa Claudio.
A fire investigator said that Claudio was injured by the fire, but declined to say that she died as a result of the fire.
Fire officials are still
investigating the incident.
The fire occurred Sunday night shortly after 10 p.m. on Sabine Street.
When firefighters arrived, several people were walking out of the building on their own.
They say the fire began in the kitchen.
