Yankees legends raise money for good cause
AUBURN, NY (WSYR-TV) - New York Yankees legends Roy White and Mickey Rivers were in Auburn on Sunday to sign autographs. Proceeds will help disadvantaged kids through the development of Everest Park in Owasco.
“It’s an area for families to come and for children with disabilities to be a part of and kind of escape if they’re having treatment for cancer or for any type of disability that they have,” said Everest Park board member Robb Bonilla.
Each signature from White or Rivers cost thirty dollars.
Plans for the park include a ropes course, basketball and tennis courts and a skate park.
