Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies (iSchool) is establishing a scholarship in Lori A. Bresnahan’s name.
Bresnahan, who was a librarian in the Liverpool School Distract, serving at Willow Field Elementary School, was a 1992 graduate of the Masters of Library and Information Science - School Media program at the iSchool.
In addition, Bresnahan held an undergraduate degree in childhood education from the State University of New York at Oswego.
The school is also organizing a book drive for the Liverpool School District.
Police say Bresnahan was stabbed to death after being carjacked Thursday night at the Great Northern Mall in the town of Clay. She and a 10-year-old girl were just leaving a gymnastics class there when the incident occurred.
