Carlton, N.Y. - A Waterport man has been charged with second degree murder following the discovery of a body on the side of a road Monday morning.
Fred Miller, 61, was arrested and is in custody for the death of Rachel Miller, 53.
Rachel Miller's body was found on the side of a road by a school-bus driver Monday morning at Oak Orchard River Road and Clark Mill Road around 7 a.m., about 150 yards away from the residence the two shared.
Investigators say an altercation began inside of the residence.
The Sheriff's Office said Rachel Miller's injuries appeared to be from blunt force trauma. Her body was transported to the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy.
