Brothers Accused Of $5 Million Lottery Scam
Syracuse, N.Y. - Two Syracuse brothers have been accused of scamming a lottery winner out of $5 million.
Authorities say Nayel and Andy Ashkar were working at their family's store in 2006 when a customer won the money on a "scratch-off" ticket.
The two are accused of lying to the winner before paying him just $4,000 which they told him he had won.
Six years later, police say they tried to cash the winning ticket.
