Presidential Debate – ‘Town Hall’ Format
Long Island, N.Y. - The presidential candidates face each other Tuesday night for another debate.
This time it's at Hofstra University and will be in a 'town hall' format with the candidates answering questions from voters who have not yet committed to either side.
Those undecided voters were pre-selected by the moderator, CNN’s Candy Crowley.
The format presents challenges for both candidates.
The president was widely criticized as being too passive after the first debate. His campaign officials say he's made adjustments.
The candidates are expected to tread carefully, because if they go on the offense too aggressively, they risk looking combative.
