Fracking Deadline Likely To Be Extended
New York State - Thursday, November 29, is the deadline for New York State to finalize regulations for fracking. But that may not happen.
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation says it could file for a 90 day extension to finalize its regulatory blueprint for the gas drilling technique.
While touring Rochester Tuesday, Governor Cuomo did say to reporters, “The state won't finish the review by the 29th.”
The decision could now be pushed back as much as six months.
