Gas Price Falls 5.1-Cents - Still Up 20-Cents From 2011

Rochester, N.Y. - Average gas prices in Rochester fell 5.1 cents per gallon in the past week.

They now average $3.68 a gallon, according to daily survey of 319 gas outlets in Rochester, conducted by a company called "Gasbuddy."

The drop in rochester is almost 3-cents lower than the national average which fell 8.0 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.25.

The $3.68 is 20.8 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago-- and are 17.4 cents lower than a month ago.

The national average has decreased 18.3 cents per gallon during the last month.

“In some instances people have been calling this a gas price crash said petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan. “Dub it whatever you like, but…gasoline prices in some areas still could set all-time record highs for Christmas Day."
