U.S.A./Rochester, N.Y. - The American Automobile Association reports tropical storm Isaac is behind the biggest one-day jump in gas prices in the past 18 months.

Overnight the national average price for a gallon of gas jumped nearly five cents to $3.80 a gallon.

Prices are expected to continue to climb through Labor Day weekend and into the fall.

Local drivers are already feeling the effects.

Drivers in the Rochester area are paying an average of nine cents more per gallon than the national average.
