Judge Geraci Confirmation Blocked

Washington - The confirmation of Monroe County Court Judge Frank Geraci to the federal bench has hit a roadblock.

Gannett News Service reports the Senate GOP blocked a number of judicial nominees, including Geraci.

Now the process likely depends on who wins the presidential election.

Because Geraci was nominated by Democrat Chuck Schumer, his chances of being confirmed are better if Obama wins re-election.
