Greek Yogurt, Meat Alternative, May Get Into School Lunches
Albany, N.Y. - A move to add more Greek yogurt to school lunches could bring more business for dairy farmers and local plants.
Senator Chuck Schumer says federal officials are taking steps to modify the federal school lunch program to incorporate Greek yogurt as a high-protein meat alternative.
A pilot program could make that a possibility as early as April.
