New York (AP) – Airports in New York, Boston and Connecticut ramped up service Sunday, as they work to return to normal operations following a massive snowstorm that crippled parts of the East Coast and led to thousands of flight delays and cancellations.
Airlines said they are operating close-to-normal schedules on Sunday, a busy day for air travel.
Meanwhile, trains and public transportation networks are also struggling to get back to full operation in time for Monday morning's commute.
Flight-tracking website FlightAware.com said about 450 flights were cancelled today, a busy travel day for airlines. Only 20 are expected for Monday.
Amtrak trains are running on a limited schedule between New York City and Boston, after service between the two cities was cancelled Saturday.
Regional lines are still working to restore service.
