Charlotte, N.Carolina - In two months, we should have a winner in the 2012 presidential election.

Thursday night, President Obama officially accepted his nomination as the Democratic Party candidate. “The path we offer may be harder, but it leads to a better place and I'm asking you to choose that future.”

The president addressed the crowd after being introduced by his wife, Michelle.

The president says it will take "more than a few years" to solve problems facing the nation -- but that he will see it through.

One of the most powerful moments of the convention came from former representative Gabrielle Giffords. She led the crowd in the pledge allegiance in a clear, crisp voice--which silenced the hall, before bringing tears and applause.

Giffords recently moved back to Tucson, Arizona with her husband.
