Time Warner Customers Sue Over Modem Fee
(13WHAM-TV) - Time Warner Cable is dealing with two class-action lawsuits, both over a new fee.
As of November 1, Time Warner's high speed internet users were asked to pay about $4 per month to rent a cable modem.
Customers argue that the fee is illegal because it is not included in existing customer agreements, and the company did not give the required 30-day notice.
The lawsuits request an injunction to block the company from imposing the fee.
