Wilton, N.Y. (AP) - A 30-car pileup has led to the closure of the Adirondack Northway between exits 15 and 16 amid snowy upstate New York weather.

The route runs north and south from New York City. The pileup occurred north of Albany near Wilton. The Daily Gazette of Schenectady reports the series of crashes occurred about 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of mile marker 32.6. It wasn't clear whether anyone was injured.

Both north and southbound lanes were closed. Police said earlier that heavy snow and wind were making hazardous driving conditions.
