Winter Wine Harvest – A Sweet Thing
Fairport, N.Y. - The peak harvest season is underway for some local wineries.
All of the cold weather is good for ice wine production at places like Casa Larga Vineyards in Fairport.
The same grapes used for their regular wines stay in the vineyard a few months longer to freeze.
The additional time and the freeze combine for a sweeter flavor.
