Michael Jackson's family wants the star's coffin be put on display at the upcoming memorial service in Los Angeles, according to organizers.

The late singer will be honored in a special ceremony at L.A.'s Staples Center on Tuesday, with his family, fans and celebrity pals expected to pay their last respects at the event.

The Staples Center is owned by AEG, the concert promoter behind Jackson's London comeback shows, and company boss Randy Phillips has been involved in putting together the tribute.

He says, "Tuesday is not a show - it's a service. It will be a celebration of his life, not a circus. We are trying to keep this reverential and tasteful. It's going to be beautiful.

"We are still trying to figure out the logistics of getting Michael to the arena. There will be no funeral procession. Whatever happens, it is all about Michael's spirit and his life. Even if his body is not there, he will be there in spirit."

A source adds to British newspaper the Mail on Sunday, "(Jackson's mother) Katherine would like the coffin to be in the arena during the service, with one of Michael's trademark sequined gloves and a black fedora on top. She thinks that would be a powerful and fitting image."

Madonna thrilled fans in London on Saturday night by performing a medley of Michael Jackson's hits at the O2 Arena - just a week before the late legend was due to grace the same stage.

The pop superstar restarted her Sticky & Sweet world tour in the British capital but stopped the show to give her own personal tribute to Jackson, who passed away in Los Angeles last week.

The Holiday hitmaker recently confirmed she planned to perform with Jackson at one of his 50 comeback concerts, which were due to kick off on July 13.

Madonna halted the gig halfway through while iconic images of the tragic star flashed up on screens behind her.

As the beat to Jackson's classic hit, Billie Jean, was pumped into the arena, one of her dancers, dressed in the King of Pop's trademark black and white with a wide-brimmed hat and white gloves, began performing Jackson's most famous moves - including moonwalking across the stage.

The song turned into a medley with another classic Jackson hit, Wanna Be Startin' Something, much to the delight of the London crowd.

Madonna told the audience, "Let's give it up for one of the greatest artists the world has ever known - Michael Jackson!"

Later in the gig, the lyrics to Jackson's hit track Man In The Mirror were flashed up on screen as Madonna took to the stage wearing a black armband and a single white glove - in honour of the late music legend.

In an interview before the concert, the star expressed her shock at the sudden passing of her friend - and explained her onstage tribute.

She says, "I am so terribly sad about Michael Jackson's death. I don't know what artist wasn't inspired by him.

"I chose Billie Jean (to perform at the O2) because it's instantly recognisable.

"Kento, my dancer, was obsessed with Michael all his life. And when Michael was having auditions for his tour, Kento really wanted to go but he'd already made a commitment to me. So now he's about to have his moment and be Michael at my show."

Kevin Jonas celebrated his engagement to Danielle Deleasa with a family party in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

Jonas, who proposed to Deleasa on Wednesday morning, invited family and friends to toast the good news with a reception at the couple's favorite L.A. pizza parlor.

Cowell is the driving force behind a string of hit TV talent shows including Britain's Got Talent and the X Factor, and has reportedly teamed up with U.K. retail billionaire Sir Philip Green to expand his TV empire worldwide - with Moss a key figure in their plans.

Russell Crowe's new Robin Hood movie has suffered two further safety scares with an actor and studio aide both injured in separate incidents.

Last month the $176 million Ridley Scott epic was brought to a halt after an unnamed actor was hurt during the filming of a battle scene in Wales.

British tabloid the Sunday Mirror reports the production has since been blighted with two further accidents on set.

An unnamed actor has reportedly broken his ankles after missing a crash mat in a high-wire fall at Pinewood studios in Buckinghamshire, England.

In a separate incident a studio worker has suffered neck injuries from falling into a pit at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, England.

The film, which also stars Cate Blanchett as Maid Marion, is due for release next year.

Director Guy Ritchie plans to turn his English country mansion into an eco-friendly estate - with greenhouses and vegetable plots.

The star used to share Ashcombe House in Wiltshire, England with his ex-wife Madonna but after their divorce earlier this year he wants to make some changes.

Ritchie has submitted plans to the local council to help make the $13 million property more "self sufficient".

The moviemaker intends to grow his own fruit and vegetables in the gardens, but has to seek permission to carry out the improvements because of the historical significance of the 18th century building.

The planning application reads, "In the estate's prime when it was painted in the 18th Century, it was surrounded by extensive gardens including major vegetable gardens. In recent years, all productive vegetable gardens have been lost. The gardens that remain are formal or semi-formal flower gardens.

"It is proposed to try to make Ashcombe House self-sufficient. The part-walled gardens leading from the back door to the staff building will be turned over to vegetables and given a row of greenhouses to produce vines, fruit, early vegetables and seedlings... Produce from the greenhouses will be used on the estate, all part of an effort to make the estate more self-sufficient and sustainable."

Actress Mischa Barton was reprimanded in a London nightclub toilet after trying to bundle a pal into a cubicle with her.

Barton and a girlfriend were stopped from sharing a cubicle at Whisky Mist club in Mayfair during a recent night out by a toilet attendant.

A bystander tells Britain's Daily Mail, "Mischa looked like she was having a good night. After sitting with a few pals at her VIP table she dragged her friend Bridget into the loos.

"They tried to go into the toilet cubicle together but they were stopped by the toilet attendant. The lady said to her, 'What are you doing? You are not allowed to go in together, you have to come out now.'

"Mischa looked really p**sed off and embarrassed."

Barton then entered another cubicle alone - and spend several minutes inside in silence, prompting the attendant to ask if she was okay.

A loo user adds, "She took so long to emerge that everyone was worried about her. At one point the toilet attendant had to knock on her door twice to ask if she was alright. Then her mate was knocking to check she was feeling okay.

"When she came out of the cubicle, she was complaining about people knocking on the door."

The publication reports the former drug addict littered her room with various items including female hygiene products, as well as flooding the room.

A source tells PageSix, "She caused so much damage in eight hours and wreaked so much havoc. It was actually kind of funny... minus the $5,000 in repairs."

Lost Boys star Corey Feldman regrets not making amends with his old pal Michael Jackson before the King of Pop's death last week.

The former child star was one of the pop star's closest pals 10 years ago, but the pair had a public falling out in 2001 and Feldman further distanced himself from Jackson during his child molestation trial in 2005, when he suggested his relationship with the singer may have been inappropriate.

Now, a week after Jackson's death, Feldman admits he wishes he could have met with his old friend and patched up their differences.

He tells the Los Angeles Times, "It (Jackson's death) makes you realize that you really have everything you value in life, and every moment and breath. I really learned it’s a bad idea to let unfinished things go unfinished.

"It’s nice to have closure. It’s unfortunate to me that I will never have that closure."

The concert promoters behind Michael Jackson's comeback tour will receive a multi-million dollar payout from the show's insurers if reports linking the superstar's passing to drugs are correct - because their policy covers death by overdose.

AEG Live bosses took out a $17.5 million insurance policy from Lloyd's of London in the event a health crisis would cause Jackson to pull out of his 50-date London residency.

Following his sudden death last week, rumors have swirled about the Thriller hitmaker's prolonged dependence on prescription drugs, with some reports suggesting his cardiac arrest was triggered by an accidental overdose.

Further tests to determine the singer's cause of death have been ordered by the Los Angeles coroner's office and the results are expected within weeks.

If drugs are proved to have played a part in Jackson's untimely passing, AEG executives will be able to recoup some of their massive losses - but not if he's ruled to have died of natural causes, according to the company's chief executive Randy Phillips.

Sottish actor Gerard Butler won't have to face up to his criminal battery charge just yet. His lawyer successfully persuaded a judge to delay the arraignment until August.

The 300 star was charged in May with attacking a paparazzo outside the Los Angeles premiere of Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla in 2008.

Despite the snapper insisting the actor lashed out at him and punched him the mouth, Butler's lawyers claim he was forced to act because the photographer was stalking the star, almost killing a pedestrian as he chased him through Hollywood.

Butler was due at an L.A. court on June 10th but put in a request to delay the case.

And the judge agreed - moving the date back until August 18th, according to Access Hollywood.

It is not known why Butler made the request for a delay as WENN went to press.

The pop superstar passed away last week after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest.

Rumors about his cause of death have been swirling ever since, with reports suggesting a lengthy dependence on prescription drugs contributed to his untimely demise.

Now Jackson biographer Diane Dimond has caused a stir with shocking new claims - alleging the Thriller hitmaker had shown early signs of skin cancer.

She tells Usmagazine.com, "Last week, I had two real sources call me and say he's getting surgery right now for removal of skin cancer off his nose."

Results from Jackson's autopsy are expected within weeks.

Harry Potter star Rupert Grint says he has been harboring a crush on co-star Emma Watson for years - confessing both he and Daniel Radcliffe battle to win favor with the actress during filming.

Michael Jackson didn't snub his father by excluding him from his will, according to the superstar's brother Jermaine.

A will drawn up by the King of Pop back in 2002 hands over his entire estate to a family trust comprising of his mother Katherine and his three children.

Brad Pitt was forced to hitch a ride from a paparazzo on Thursday when his motorcycle broke down on a busy Hollywood street.

Michael Jackson underwent a grueling five hour medical test and passed it "with flying colors", according to his comeback concert boss.

AEG Live CEO Randy Phillips has dismissed the suggestion Jackson cheated a screening process he underwent just weeks before his death - revealing tour insurers insisted on a rigorous examination, which the King of Pop breezed through.

Phillips says, "He absolutely, 100 percent, had a close to five-hour physical. The (insurance) carriers flew in a doctor of their choice from New York and he did an extensive battery of tests."

"We were obviously never privy to the actual medical reports, because this was confidential medical information between the doctor and the patient. However, we were told that he passed with flying colors."

Jackson died from a cardiac arrest on June 25th, just weeks before the tour was due to begin.

Megan Fox has been dubbed "ridiculous" by her Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen director Michael Bay after she slammed the movie in an interview.

Fox took a swipe at the sequel in a new interview, describing it as "not a movie about acting".

She told Entertainment Weekly, "I mean, I can't s*** on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don't want to blow smoke up people's a**. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting."
