Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - She is someone who viewers have helped catch before. The latest “Fugitive of the Week” suspect is wanted again or scamming another hotel and skipping court.

Last year, Lynnette Knudsen was catch number 38, for the onthelookout.net site. She was arrested at a hotel in Weedsport, after a hotel clerk saw her photo on The Morning News. At the time, Knudsen was wanted for stealing a Fort Drum’s soldier’s truck, checks, and someone else's credit card. She checked into the Days Inn with a fake name, claiming to be a doctor with no way to pay because all of her identification was stolen.

After her arrest, Knudsen did spend some time in jail. After her release, it didn't take long for new charges to surface.

Police say there are two warrants for her arrest “She's very good at conning people into believing her tales of woe. She tells people she's lost her purse or that it's been stolen and convinces them to give her money.”

Police say after giving a sob story to folks at a DeWitt hotel, they let her stay for the night. She promised she would pay as soon as she could. When the hotel got stiffed on the bill, Knudsen was arrested and issued an appearance ticket. She failed to appear in court.

Police say she’s always been in the Fulton or Syracuse area. “We believe she's still in this area, she may be conning someone else.”

Lynnette Knudsen is 5’ 5” and has green eyes and tattoos; one of a sun on her lower back, and another tattoo on the back of her neck.

If you can turn her in, give the Fugitive Task Force tip line a call at 473-7625.

Tom Connellan. “This was an unprovoked attack on the store clerk who was in there doing his job and the suspects came in, beat him to the ground, hit him over the head and body with a stool and kicked and stomped him while he was on the ground, and then stole money and cell phones out of the store.”

Syracuse police say the three remaining suspects are also believed to be in their teens.

Police would not release the 14-year-old's name because he is a minor. Cicero (WSYR-TV) - Cicero Police have arrested two suspects accused of breaking car windows to steal from cars in parking lots.

Police say they received a call from a couple who spotted the suspects' vehicle in the DeWitt Wegmans parking lot; from there, police were able to track down the name of the car's owner, and started their search for the suspects.

Wednesday, the Cicero Police were called to the Cobblestone Square Apartments regarding a suspicious vehicle and two suspicious males walking in the parking lots.

An officer arrived within one minute of receiving the complaint. He located the vehicle -- a white Buick with no hubcaps -- and subjects trying to drive away. They were identified as Jesse Jimenez and Thomas Jimenez, and together with their car were recognized as the wanted persons in the car break-ins that occurred Saturday night.

Both subjects were arrested for possession of burglary tools and petit larceny. Both admitted to the car break-ins over the weekend that occurred at Wal-Mart, Target, Copper Top, and Buffalo Wild Wings.

Additional charges will be lodged, pending further investigation.

Instead, they did some window shopping in the parking lot.

“In watching this Target store video, you can see how they looked at 30 different cars before they picked one to break into. I would assume they were looking to see what was inside. They don't want to draw attention and smash windows when they don't see an item they may want,” says Cicero Police Investigator James Meyers.

“This was a big night. They hit a lot of cars, a lot of merchandise and a lot of people's property from these cars,” Meyers says.

Police believe the getaway car may be a 2000 to 2006 model Buick Century, and it’s missing hubcaps.

Police are unable to make out the license plate from the video.

If you have any information to solve this case, you're asked to call Meyers at 699-3677, ext. 18.

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse police are On The Lookout -- and want students to be as well -- after five armed robberies on the SU hill in just the past month.

The first happened September 7th, and there have been two this week, including one Wednesday night at around 8:30 on Lancaster Avenue.

John Morrow, who was the victim in the robbery, says since the incident, he doesn't feel safe -- even in his own home.

“Ever since it happened, my stomach won't unclench,” Morrow says. “One guy came across to my right so I couldn't move any further, and another guy came here and pulled a gun up to my chest.”

Only after Morrow saw the gun did he realize what was happening.

“I put my hands up, and then the other guy riffled through my pockets and took all my stuff,” Morrow says.

Morrow was robbed at the 900 block of Lancaster Street; it was dark, where street lamps only light certain portions of the neighborhood.

Other students are learning from what happened, and are playing it safe by boarding the free shuttle offered by the Department of Public Safety.

Police believe the five armed robberies are related after all the victims gave similar descriptions of the men, who are described as being around six feet tall, in their 20s and wearing dark hooded sweatshirts during the robberies.

Syracuse police have stepped up their presence in those neighborhoods and are asking anyone with information about the robberies to give them a call at 442-5222.
