Residents of a Ukrainian village have asked officials to rename it after late pop superstar Michael Jackson.

One official in Oktyabrskoye says there are many fans of the singer in the village and that while he's not a fan of Jackson he does support the name change proposal.

The village is apparently hoping to create a Jackson museum as well to attract tourists.

A proposal is to be considered sometime in August.

Police in Ohio got a shock while they were interviewing a suspect - a baby squirrel climbed out of her top, much to the surprise of the officers.

But the woman didn't explain the strange event - simply scooping the squirrel up and placing it back in her cleavage. 

The detective conducting the interview said he was at a loss for words but that the squirrel "seemed quite happy."

Two men who robbed a gas station near Syracuse, New York were caught because they forgot to fill their getaway car up with gas first.
 
The pair were caught about a mile away from the gas station on the side of the road.

Police say the two were trying to find someone to give them gas and they actually got someone who was willing to take them to the nearest gas station - which happened to be the one they just robbed.

The men now face first degree burglary charges.

A toad has turned the tables on its natural predator - the snake.

A toad in China has been photographed munching on its natural enemy.

The man who took the photo says the toad ate the whole snake in about five minutes.

A local zoologist says it's the first time he's ever heard of something like this happening.

A man in Oregon has been arrested after he says he was cheated after he made his order at a local McDonald's. 

The man called 911 and claimed he had given $10 for a burger and fries and that he was not given the proper amount back.
 
The 911 dispatcher reportedly told the man that it was not an emergency and asked the man to try and resolve the issue with the restaurant's manager.

The man reportedly continued to call 911 even after being warned that the line was to be only used for emergencies.

The man was arrested and spent a night in jail.

A teenager from Wisconsin was barred from a school trip to Peru because officials at the airport couldn't read his passport after his dog chewed it.

The 17-year-old apparently was allowed through in Chicago but officials in Miami wouldn't let him board.

The teen's golden retriever had chewed a corner of the passport obscuring some of the numbers.

A burglar in Virginia has made the police's job in tracking him down much easier.

He accidentally took a picture of himself on his victim's camera phone after apparently trying to make a phone call.

Police have reportedly identified the theif and are now looking for the 17-year-old.

The men are taking part in a race that will go a distance of about 2,500 nautical miles and last more than two months.

The two say they will spend most of the time naked to cut down on chafing.

They are hoping to raise money for ataxia research and fund services to help those with the neurological condition which as of now has no known cure.

A Chinese airline is planning to revolutionize budget travel by selling 'standing' tickets on flights. The seats would actually be bar stools with a safety belt fastened around the waist.

Spring Airlines is reportedly considering the bold move in an effort to handle its growing number of passengers.

The move would reportedly trim airline costs by 20 percent, pack 40 percent more people in the plane and lower airfares.

The airline says it will submit its plan to regulators soon.
