Recap: ULM vs. Ark-Little Rock
Monroe, LA (Sports Network) - Josh Hagins led the way with 14 points as the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans held off the ULM Warhawks, 70-60, in a Sun Belt Conference tilt at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
Gus Leeper scored 12 points and Will Neighbour tallied 11 points and six rebounds for UALR (15-10, 9-5 Sun Belt), which has won four of its last five contests.
Trey Lindsey paced all scorers with 18 points off the bench for ULM (3-16, 2-11), which extended its season-long losing streak to eight games. Jayon James added 15 points and six assists, while R.J. McCray recorded 10 points and seven helpers.
With the game tied at 19-19 with just under nine minutes left in the half, UALR closed the frame on a 17-4 run to go into intermission with a 36-23 advantage.
The Trojans lead appeared well in hand up 12 with 4:06 to go, but ULM would not go quietly, as it ran off a 9-0 spurt to get its deficit to just three with under two minutes to play. UALR answered with a run of its own, scoring seven straight points to pull away.
UALR held a 34-25 advantage in the rebounding battle.
